10 Best Super Bowl Performances By Quarterbacks

With the Super Bowl this weekend, I wanted to go over some of the best QB performances to go down. From comebacks to butt-whoopings let's dive in. 

Number 10: Donovan Mcnabb

The Game was one for the history books as Brady pulls off a close one over the Eagles. Now, I don't want this list to be all about Tom Brady so I limited each QB to one spot on the list. Their best performance will be shown here. However, they might pop up more than once in telling the story of others.

This spot however belongs to Donovan Mcnabb. Donovan and Terrell Owens went off in the second half of the game. Sadly, it wasn't enough with his three picks as well as throwing the ball to anything that looked like an open man. They fell to The Patriots giving Tom his third ring.

We all have heard his story, from bagging groceries to winning a Super Bowl. Kurt has one hell of a story, so much so that Hollywood made a movie about it - American UnderDog.

The Rams were underdogs going into the game led by a backup QB.  That season, however, he and the Rams did enough to stop the Titans. Literally holding the Titans at the one-yard line at the end of the game to pull off the upset.

  

Number 8: Eli Manning

The rematch - Eli had won over the Patriots a few years earlier in Super Bowl 42. That's the one where Manning ruined Tom Brady and the Patriots going 19-0. 

This season the G men only went 9-7 in the regular season. Once again they were the underdogs down 17-9. Eli led the Giants back with his calm demeanor and precision passing. This would be his legacy beating the best to ever do it on the biggest stage.

Number 7: Terry Bradshaw

With a Hall of Fame stacked roster on both sides, this was one for the history books. Bradshaw led the Steelers with 4 TD and over 300 passing yards, submitting himself as one of the best QBs in NFL history.

A Half-Time comeback, Drew Brees and Payton Manning were the best to ever do it. These are the two who would face off in Super Bowl 44.

The Colts took the early half lead, 10-6 with it only being a one-score game. Some thought the Saints would have a major shot at coming back to win. Payton and the Colts were set to get the ball in the second half. Sean Payton, well he had other ideas. He went for a play called Ambush (onside kick) which gave Drew the ball. They never looked back.

Troy and the Cowboys would go on to blow out the Bills. Troy had one of his best games giving dem boys a Super Bowl win.

Number 4: Nick Foles

Nick Foles is one of two men to ever beat Tom in the big game. Nick came in after the Eagle's starter Carson Wents went down in the regular season. Nick stepped in and led the team to the promised land. He still had to face the best though. He went on to play one of the best games we have ever seen. Back and forth all the way through to the end. However, in the end, Nick and the Eagles won it all.

Joe Cool as he is known is one of the best to ever do it. This game was no different as he led the 49ers to a butt-whopping over Denver. He went down, at the time, as the best to ever do it. He won all four Super Bowls that he attended.

Steve finely got one of his own in this game throwing for 6 TDs          (a record). Steve was the famous starter after Joe but was always struggling to get out from under his shadow. With this game, he was finally able to do that.

At one point in the game, the score was 28-3. The people had no idea this would be the greatest Super Bowl comeback of all time. Who else to do it besides Mr. Comeback himself, Tom Brady.

Tom has ten Super Bowls to pick from but I think this one is by far the most impressive. Without a doubt, this game made him the best ever. I don't know if any other QB could have done this besides Brady.

When I watched the game I had no doubt that he would do it. IT WAS 28 TO 3 but if anyone could have done it, it's Brady. 

Will one of these QBs top this list this year? Only time will tell but for now, this is my top 10 QB Performances in the Super Bowl.
